It explores modern neurophysiological and neuroimaging techniques for the assessment and rehabilitation of dysphagia, focusing on principles of neural plasticity.</p> <p>Outcome Objectives Participants will be able to:</p> <p>1. Identify key neural circuits controlling swallowing.<br>2. Describe current neuro-diagnostic tools for dysphagia.<br>3. Compare evidence-based, neurally-focused treatment strategies.</p> <p>Background Dysphagia is a common and debilitating consequence of neurological injury. Understanding the underlying neural dynamics is crucial for developing targeted, effective rehabilitation to improve patient safety and quality of life.</p>
