Tonsils and adenoids are lymphoid tissues in the located in aerodigestive pathways and play an important role in the fight against infections. The aim is to discuss of our indications for tonsil and adenoid surgeries in Northern Ghana.
To highlight the Northern Ghana experience with tonsils and adenoid surgeries and their management outcomes.
Prof Theophilus J. K. Adjeso is a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, Division of Surgery, Faculty of Otorhinolaryngology (ORL), and a member of the Faculty Board since 2017. He is an Associate Professor in the Ear, Nose, and Throat Department, School of Medicine, University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. Prof. Adjeso was the Head of the Dental, Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat (DEENT) SubBMC and provides clinical services at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) as a Consultant ENT surgeon. He is a trainer for the Faculty of ORL in TTH and examiner for membership and fellowship ORL examinations of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles and is a reviewer for both local and international journals. He is the current president of the Otorhinolaryngological Society of Ghana (OSOG).
