Dr. Ela Araz Server, MD is an Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon based in Istanbul, Türkiye. She is affiliated with Üsküdar University and practices at Memorial Şişli Hospital. She graduated from Cumhuriyet University School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
Her clinical and academic special interests include rhinology, endoscopic sinus surgery, anterior skull base surgery, and salivary gland disorders. She has extensive experience in functional endoscopic sinus surgery, endoscopic anterior skull base procedures, and gland-preserving salivary gland surgery, particularly sialendoscopy.
Dr. Server actively contributes to national and international scientific meetings as a faculty member and invited speaker. She is also a co-chair and organizer of the Sialendoscopy Istanbul international course, promoting international collaboration and postgraduate education in ENT.
Working in the field of laryngology – head and neck surgery, endoscopic laryngeal and pharyngeal cancer surgery, Endoscopic surgery of the Zanker’s diverticulum, salivary gland surgery and Sialendoscopy. Former head of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery Department in Ljubljana, Slovenia and also the president of Slovenian ENT association 2016 – 2022. Associate professor of otorhinolaryngology at the medical faculty in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

He has 15 years experience in sialendoscopy. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in sialendoscopy, rhinology, facial plastic surgery, and otology, with particular experience in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and cochlear implantation. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, receiving over 1,000 citations, and has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international congresses.
Prof. Özdemir has organized and chaired numerous scientific meetings and advanced surgical cadaver courses in Türkiye. He organised the last three national meetings named “Videoconferences Congresses” as president. He currently serves as President of the Çukurova ENT Association and President of the Turkish ENT Association Qualification Board Commission, and is a former Vice Dean of Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. He is an active member of several national and international professional societies and serves on the editorial and advisory boards of multiple scientific journals.

Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgeon in Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz and Hospital Universitario General de Villalba (Madrid, Spain). Clinical practice and academic activity focus on sialendoscopy and minimally invasive surgery of salivary glands.
Active member of a dedicated Sialendoscopy and Functional Salivary Gland Disorders Unit, with contributions to the development and dissemination of sialendoscopy through clinical practice, research, and education. Recently served as co-editor of the first Spanish-language textbook on sialendoscopy. Research interests also include obstructive salivary gland disease, in particular obstructive factors and potential obstructives entities; and quality-of-life associated to chronic obstructive sialadenitis.
Clinical practice and research focus on rhinology and anterior skull base surgery, including endoscopic sinus surgery, chronic rhinosinusitis management, septal surgery, and septal perforation repair; over the past eight years, work as a co-investigator in multiple international clinical trials evaluating monoclonal antibody therapies for chronic rhinosinusitis with and without nasal polyps.
Strong commitment to medical education through participation in hands-on training programs for otolaryngologists (sialendoscopy, septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery), and current role as Otolaryngology Professor in Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, Madrid, Spain.
