It covers the use of advanced technologies, such as piezoelectric surgery and 3D imaging, to achieve refined, natural, and functionally sound outcomes.

Outcome Objectives Participants will be able to:

  2. Describe the indications and advantages of using piezoelectric instruments.

  3. Integrate modern approaches to optimize both aesthetic and functional results.

Background Modern rhinoplasty has evolved beyond simple reduction. The current focus is on reshaping and reinforcing nasal structures to create long-lasting, natural results that respect nasal physiology, meeting the sophisticated demands of today's patients.

Cristina Maria Goanță, MD, PhD, is an ENT surgeon based in Bucharest, Romania, with expertise in endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, and sleep medicine. She is Head of Clinic at Colentina Clinical Hospital and Associate Professor at “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She has trained in advanced rhinology and skull base courses across Europe, including Vienna, Cambridge, Leicester, and Szeged, and has extensive teaching experience for residents and young specialists. Her academic and clinical interests focus on surgical safety, anatomical education, and the integration of artificial intelligence and 3D imaging into ENT practice.

Yelda Ceren Orhan, MD, FEBORL-HNS, is an otolaryngologist at Trakya University,

Turkey, with a dedicated clinical focus on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. She

completed her medical education at Koç University School of Medicine, Istanbul, and

obtained her FEBORL-HNS certification in 2025. She has gained multidisciplinary

training experience through observerships in dermatopathology and neuropathology at the

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and clinical research in obstetrics and

gynecology at Northwestern University, contributing to a strong academic and clinical

foundation. Dr. Orhan’s academic work includes research on postoperative edema and

ecchymosis management in rhinoplasty, and she has been an active participant in national

facial plastic surgery congresses.
