Prof. Nicola Quaranta is a professor in the Otolaryngology Unit, Department of Translational Medicine and Neuroscience, University of Bari. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bari with a grade of 110/110 cum laude in 1996. In 1997, he obtained a license to practice medicine and surgery with highest honors. He received a postgraduate degree in otolaryngology from the University of Parma with a grade of 50/50 cum laude in 2000. Since January 2001, he has been a member of the General Medical Council in the Principal List of Medical Practitioners. He has been the Director of the UOC Otolaryngology University of the Polyclinic of Bari since November 2011, Director of DAI Neuroscience, Away Organs and Locomotor Apparatus since November 2017, and the President of the School of Specialization in Otolaryngology at the University of Bari since November 2006. He has also been the President of the Italian Society of Otology since November 2017. He has published more than 209 papers with over 3521 citations and has an h-index of 33 (Scopus, December 2023).
