Prof. Dr. Hatice Seyra Erbek is a distinguished Turkish otolaryngologist and academic, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Lokman Hekim University, Faculty of Medicine, in Ankara. She holds a medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (1986–1992) and has extensive experience in the field of otolaryngology.
With a publication record of 48 journal articles indexed in SCI, her research interests encompass clinical medicine, particularly in the areas of audiology and vestibular disorders.
In addition to her academic role, Prof. Dr. Erbek is affiliated with Lokman Hekim Akay Hospital in Ankara, where she provides clinical services in the field of otolaryngology.

Achintya K. (Achin) Bhowmik, Ph.D., is the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering at Starkey. Responsible for the company’s technology strategy, global research, product development, engineering, and program management organizations, he leads Starkey’s efforts to transform hearing aids into multifunctional health and communication devices with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence technologies.
Prior to joining Starkey, Dr. Bhowmik served as Vice President and General Manager of the Perceptual Computing Group at Intel Corporation. There, he was responsible for the R&D, engineering, operations, and businesses in the areas of 3D sensing and interactive computing, computer vision and artificial intelligence, autonomous robots and drones, and immersive virtual and merged reality devices.
Dr. Bhowmik is an adjunct professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. He serves on the board of advisors for the Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley, industry advisory board for the Institute for Engineering in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, and board of trustees for the National Captioning Institute.
Dr. Bhowmik is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), fellow and president of the Society for Information Display (SID), and a member of the Forbes Technology Council. He has authored over 200 publications, including two books and 80 granted patents.
In recognition of his impressive work, Dr. Bhowmik was named a 2022 Notable Leader in Healthcare by Twin Cities Business Magazine, a 2023 Top Healthcare Technology CTO by the Healthcare Technology Report and was named a 2023 Artificial Intelligence Excellence winner by the Business Intelligence Group.
