Michael Hoa, MD, is a surgeon-scientist and a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Hoa completed his neurotology fellowship at the House Clinic in Los Angeles in 2012. Dr. Hoa is board certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, otology, and neurotology. Dr. Hoa serves as the director of the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Cochlear Implant Program which provides comprehensive cochlear implant services to both pediatric and adult populations. His main research interests as an NIH-sponsored surgeon-scientist include hearing restoration and preservation and the identification of novel and repurposable therapeutics in the setting of hearing instability disorders and cochlear implantation. In addition, he has clinical interests in both surgical management of vestibular and facial nerve schwannoma, endoscopic and microscopic management of cholesteatoma and chronic ear disease, otosclerosis, paraganglioma management, and lateral skull base encephalocele and CSF leak management.

Walter Kutz, MD, FACS is a Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurological Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine and went on to pursue a two-year fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the prestigious House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kutz serves as the Program Director of the Neurotology Fellowship and Associate Program Director of the Otolaryngology Residency Program at UT Southwestern. He has a strong commitment to education and mentorship, recognized by the Chief Resident Appreciation Award for his leadership and teaching. He has been actively involved in curriculum development and surgical education for trainees at all levels.
Nationally, Dr. Kutz holds the position of Secretary Treasurer of the American Neurotology Society. He has also served on various committees for national organizations, reflecting his ongoing contributions to the field of otology and neurotology.
His clinical and research interests include acoustic neuroma outcomes, neurofibromatosis type 2, auditory brainstem implantation, cochlear implantation, endoscopic ear surgery, and cerebrospinal fluid fistulas of the temporal bone. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, and frequently lectures nationally and internationally on topics in otology and skull base surgery.
I am working as an ENT specialist since 2015 in Health Science University İstanbul Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital. My academic title is assistant profesor. I am working specially in otology, neurootology and lateral skull base fields.
Hans Thomeer has been appointed as an otolaryngologist since October 2014 at the UMC Utrecht, chaired by prof. Robert Stokroos. He is dedicated to specialized care and surgical rehabilitation of patients suffering from various otologic and neurotologic diseases (including profound sensorineural hearing loss, otosclerosis, chronic otitis media, superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome, etc.), as well as benign and malignant tumours of the skull base (including mainly vestibular schwannoma and paraganglioma surgery). He is also Chairman of the Cochlear Implantation Center Utrecht, where yearly about 90 implantations are done in patients (adults and children). He is the Chief of the Multidisciplinary Skull Base Team Utrecht.
Hans Thomeer performed his PhD-research on congenital middle ear anomalies and surgical outcomes (between 2009 and 2012, Radboud University, Nijmegen (The Netherlands)) and was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Brain Center Rudolph Magnus at the University of Utrecht. He received a Senior Education Certificate for his long and outstandig work in Education and Digital Learning Environments. From January 2024 he has been promoted to Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, with a focus on Inner Ear Biology and Pathology: innovations in diagnostics and treatment strategies. He accepted a Guest Professorship at the Catholique University Leuven (Belgium) to continu his Inner Ear Research and enhance international collaboration.
He has currently published over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles.
