Prof. Piotr H. Skarzynski, MD, PhD, MSc realises scientific work in the World Hearing Center of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and Institute of Sensory Organs.

Specialist in ENT, pediatric ENT, audiology and phoniatrics, and public health. Participated in the 3<sup>rd</sup> Stakeholders Consultation meeting during which the World Hearing Forum of WHO was announced. A member of the Roster of Experts on Digital Health of WHO, Board Member and Institutional Representative of the International Society for Telemedicine and e-Health (ISfTeH), President of International Advisory Board of American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), member of Congress and Meeting Department of European Academy of Otology and Neuro-Otology (EAONO), Regional Representative of Europe of International Society of Audiology (ISA), Vice-President of Hearring Group, Auditor of European Federation of Audiology Societies (EFAS), member of the Facial Nerve Stimulation Steering Committee, and Board Secretary of the Polish Society of Otorhinolaryngologists, Phoniatrists and Audiologists (TOFAP). Prof. Piotr H. Skarzynski, MD, PhD, MSc executes numerous national and international projects connected with hearing screening programs, implantable hearing devices, telemedicine, and e-health in numerous European, Asian, and African countries. 

Research interests: ENT surgery, otology, rhinology, ear reconstruction, hearing implantable devices and hearing aids, telemedicine and e-Health, robotics, tinnitus, and hearing screening in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America.Prof. Piotr H. Prof. Artur Lorens, Ph.D. is head of the Department of Implants and Auditory Perception at the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing.  He graduated in 1992 from the Faculty of Electronics, Warsaw University of Technology, with a degree in Medical and Nuclear Electronics, specialization: Electronic Instrumentation. He obtained his PhD in Technical Sciences on April 29, 2003, at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Gdańsk University of Technology. The title of his doctoral dissertation was “A Method for Assessing the Effectiveness of Cochlear Implant Systems.” He received his habilitation degree (DSc) in Health Sciences on April 23, 2013, from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical University of Warsaw. The scientific achievement was entitled “Electro-Acoustic Stimulation of the Auditory Receptor after Cochlear Implantation.”. He has led or participated in numerous EU- and nationally funded projects, including HearingTreat (PI, EU Marie Curie ToK), HEARD (main researcher, FP7 IEF), and InnoTech (researcher, NCBiR), focusing on innovative cochlear implant fitting, auditory diagnostics, and implantable hearing devices. Prof. Lorens has authored 100+ publications, (H-index: 26, 2,023 citations)

Mario E. Zernotti is professor of ENT at Catholic University of Córdoba and National University of Villa Maria, and also professor of Clinics of Hearing at National University of Córdoba. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of ear surgery in Sanatorium Allende. He was the pioneer in electro acoustic stimulation (EAS) and hearing preservation in all America, doing the first cases of EAS cochlear implants in the continent.  Besides, his team was the first to did Active Middle Ear Implants and bone conductive prosthesis in the region. This group is working specially in atresia/microtia patients, very common malformation in South-America, and northwest of Argentina, doing a comprehensive approach to the problem. Member of Hearring, Past president of GCIAN (Global Cochlear Implant Access Network) and President of the 8<sup>th</sup> World Congress on CI in Emerging Nations (2024).

Prof. Javier Gavilán is Professor and Chairman at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, Spain, since 1997. His Department has been repeatedly elected as the best department of ENT in Spain during the last years.

He has written more than 350 papers in scientific journals, 92 book chapters and published 8 books as author or co-author. He has also presented more than 600 papers in scientific meetings.

Prof. Gavilán has been awarded 56 different awards and grants, including the Honor Award of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-HNS, and several awards in International Meetings.

He is a member of more than 25 different scientific societies. In some of them as Honorary Member, Founding Member or Member of the Board of Directors.

His main topics of interest are head and neck surgery, skull base surgery and otology including hearing implants, where he has pioneered the clinical use of transcutaneous bone conduction implants, active middle ear implants and brainstem implants. He is frequent lecturer for these topics on numerous international meetings around the world.
