Dr. Kanu Lal Saha is an Associate Professor in the Otology Division of the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. Saha received advanced short-term observer training under several world-renowned otologists and skull base surgeons, including Prof. Mario Sanna of Gruppo Otologico, Piacenza-Rome, Italy; Prof. Robert Vincent of Causse Clinic, France; Prof. Miguel Aristegui of Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Spain; and Prof. S. K. Kacker and Prof. M. V. Kirtane from India.

He is a prolific academician with 44 publications in national and international journals and is frequently invited to serve as faculty and speaker at scientific conferences and workshops both at home and abroad.

In 2024, Dr. Saha developed a novel surgical technique for excision of a variant type of preauricular sinus with recurrent postauricular abscess, which was published in the American journal Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology.

His principal research interests include primary external auditory canal cholesteatoma, tympanomastoid paraganglioma, modified and extended modified Bondy technique, surgical management of variant preauricular sinus, cochlear implant surgery, tubercular mastoiditis, and atypical abscess presentations in cholesteatoma.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Cluj Napoca in 2000 and the specialty exam in ENT in 2000 when she was admited in the university as a assistant professor in 2000. She went through the promotion stages in the university and became a professor in 2022. Since 2025 she has been the Head of the ENT Department at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj Napoca. She has participated in numerous research grants as director and member, has many publications in the field of otology.
