Dr. Kanu Lal Saha is a renowned otologist of national and international repute. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Otology Division of the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Dhaka.

He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 1999 and obtained his FCPS in Otolaryngology from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in January 2007.

Dr. Saha has received advanced short-term observer training under several world-renowned otologists and skull base surgeons, including:Prof. Mario Sanna – Gruppo Otologico, Piacenza-Rome, Italy,Prof. Robert Vincent – Causse Clinic, France,Prof. Miguel Aristegui – Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, SpainProf. S. K. Kacker and Prof. M. V. Kirtane – India

He is a prolific academician with 41 publications in national and international journals and is frequently invited as a faculty speaker at scientific conferences and workshops both in Bangladesh and abroad.

In 2024, Dr. Saha developed a novel surgical technique for excision of a variant type of preauricular sinus with recurrent postauricular abscess, which was published in the American journal- Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology.

He is an integral part of the Cochlear Implant Program at BMU, having successfully performed over 100 cochlear implant surgeries to date.

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Saha actively organizes workshops and dissection courses on Otology and Skull Base Surgery, in collaboration with both national and international faculty, contributing significantly to surgical education in the region.
