Dr. Magnuson is board certified in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery and a pioneer in the field of robotic surgery for the head and neck. He is the founding partner of AdventHealth Medical Group Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Celebration, Medical Director of Head and Neck Surgery, AdventHealth Florida and Chief Medical Officer of the AdventHealth Nicholson Center.
A specialist in treating patients with tumors or cancer of the head and neck, he is dedicated to ongoing research, clinical trials and the training of other surgeons in this field. Together with his medical team, he provides unsurpassed expertise in head and neck reconstruction following cancer surgery.
Dr. Magnuson has published numerous articles on Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) and is a current professor of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He previously served as an associate professor and residency program director of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he completed both his internship in general surgery and his residency in otolaryngology while earning multiple awards for excellence in teaching and research.
Dr. Magnuson received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the Triological Society (also known as the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society).
Dr. Catherine Po Ling Chan obtained her MBChB from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2015 and was graduated with Distinction in the MRes in Medical Robotics and Image-Guided Intervention at Imperial College London in 2016. With a strong aspiration to become an engineer-clinician, her research interests focus on surgical innovation, including open-surgery AI annotation, large language models in surgical data science, and the development of augmented-reality technologies in head and neck surgery.
After completing her residency in Hong Kong, Dr. Chan pursued further subspecialty fellowship training in Head and Neck endocrine and surgery oncology at Stanford University, where she trained under Dr. Lisa Orloff and Dr. Christopher Holsinger respectively. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor at Stanford University, with clinical and academic interests in head and neck endocrine surgery, transoral robotic surgery, surgical artificial intelligence, and technology-enhanced surgical education. She will be joining her alma mater as Assistant Professor in Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in CUHK this November.
Dr. Yoon Woo Koh, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Thyroid cancer clinic at Yonsei University College of Medicine Seoul, Korea.
He has been elected as the President-elect of the Korean Society of Head and Neck Surgery (KSHNS).
He serves as Chairman and Director of OtorhinolaryngologyHead and Neck Surgery and Director of Yonsei Head & Neck Cancer Center since March 2025. He also served as Vice Dean, Graduate Affairs, and Director of Yonsei Head & Neck Cancer Center.
Dr. Koh is the General Secretary of the International Guild of Robotic & Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgery.
He completed his clinical fellowship at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Koh pioneered Robotic Retroauricular Neck Dissection for Thyroid and Head & Neck cancer. He has made significant contributions to minimally invasive head and neck surgery and thyroid surgery with a retroauricular approach. He has authored over 100 original articles and book chapters on endoscopic and robotic thyroid and head and neck surgery.
Dr. Koh has the largest experience in the world with robotic head and neck surgery, including over 3,000 cases(over 1,300 cases of DaVinci SP Robotic Surgery), including the largest number of Transoral Robotic Surgery(TORS) with Robotic Retro-auricular Neck Dissection for thyroid and head and neck cancer, “Gasless” Transoral Robotic Thyroidectomy(TORT) with Transoral Neck Dissection, Robotic Total/Partial Laryngectomy, Robotic Salivary Gland Surgery, Robotic PPS tumor Surgery, Robotic RPLN Dissection and Robotic application for Free flap reconstruction.
His research focuses on clinical outcomes for thyroid and head & neck patients. His lab investigates crosstalk signaling after targeted therapy and develops treatment platforms to overcome drug resistance in these cancers.
