Andrew A. Winkler, MD is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Section Chief of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is a fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon with broad clinical and academic interests spanning complex facial trauma, nasal and septal reconstruction, gender-affirming facial surgery, Mohs and cutaneous reconstruction, and advanced rhinoplasty techniques.

Dr. Winkler is actively involved in resident and fellow education and is deeply engaged in clinical research, with a particular focus on surgical outcomes, risk reduction, and the integration of emerging technologies into facial plastic surgery. His work includes the application of virtual surgical planning, three-dimensional imaging, and additive manufacturing to enhance precision and customization in complex reconstructive cases. He has authored and coauthored peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and review articles, and regularly serves as a reviewer for national journals.

Nationally, Dr. Winkler is active within the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), where he has served in multiple leadership and committee roles, including fellowship education and program development. He is currently involved in the creation and implementation of a new facial plastic surgery fellowship program at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Winkler is a frequent invited speaker at regional and national meetings, where he lectures on facial trauma, reconstruction, virtual surgical planning, and evolving techniques in facial plastic surgery. His academic interests emphasize thoughtful innovation, surgical education, and patient-centered outcomes.

Prof. Dr. Gabriela Kopacheva-Barsova, PhD, otorhinolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon

Dr. Gabriela Kopacheva-Barsova, enrolles at the Faculty of Medicine in 1988 in Skopje, and graduates in 1994, with 9.00 average. During 1995, she finishes full-time internship and passes the medical licensing exam.

- In 1996, she starts working at the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic in Skopje, and begins specializing in otorhinolaryngology which she successfully finishes in 1999. In 1997, she obtains the title of Young Assistant of Otorhinolaryngology, and after passing the specialization exam becomes a Teaching Assistant at the Department of ORL, thus obtaining a 17 years working experience.

- In 2004, she finishes postgraduate studies at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, in the field of allergology and immunology with her Master thesis “The Role of Nasal Topical Corticosteroids in the Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis. Their Effects on Nasal Inflammatory Cells and Mucosis”. Thus, she obtains a title Master of Otorhinolaryngology.

- In april 2014, she defensed her doctorate dissertation on the topic of ”Evaluation of the Postoperative Results in Patients for Septorhinoplastic”, which she has to present by the end of 2013.

- Since 2017 she is a Professor of ENT at University Hospital, University Campus ”St. Mother Theresa”, North Macedonia.

- She is la Lecturer, Educator and Mentor to the students of General Medicine, Residents in ENT, Dentists, medical technicians as wel at the Department of Logopedy and speech disorders.

- Her subspeciality is rhinosinusology, especilly aesthetic and functional surgery of the nose.
