Professor Dr. Asma Abdullah received her medical degree in 1995 and postgraduate Otorhinolaryngology training (2002) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia. Along with general ENT Surgical work, she has focused on Cochlear Implants, Universal Newborn, Acoustic Neuroma, Temporal Bone Carcinoma and Cholesteatoma. She sits on many committees related to undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. She has more than 145 publications in major international journals. She is an outstanding teacher and has been duly recognized by UKM and Ministry of Health Malaysia. She has mentored ORL surgeons who hold position of distinction in Malaysia. She is a board exam member for Malaysian Postgraduate ORL Conjoint Exam. She was appointed as member of Clinical Practice Guideline on Otitis Media under Ministry of Health in 2010-2013. She was the Head of Department of UKMMC since 1<sup>st</sup> January 2009-3l<sup>st</sup> December 2011 and Jan 2017- December 2018. Currently she is a Professor and Senior Consultant Department of ORL-HNS, chairman of UKMMC Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program, course director of Clinical Fellowship Program Neuro-otology, Cochlear Implant & Lateral Skull Base.
