Professor Luo Zhang is one of the most well-known rhinologists in China, and in the world because of his major scientific contributions to the field. Currently, he is President of Beijing TongRen Hospital and the president-elect of the Chinese Allergy Society (CAS).

Research from his group has resulted in more than 420 peer reviewed publications. Over the last decade Professor Zhang’s research has focused on the pathophysiology of chronic rhinosinusitis, the regulation of airway ciliary activity, mechanisms of specific-allergen immunotherapy of allergic rhinitis, and surgical techniques of endoscopic sinus surgery.

Dr. Nesil Keleş Türel is a Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Istanbul

Faculty of Medicine, and currently serves as the Chair of the Department , where she

coordinates surgical, medical and research activities . She has previously held the

positions of President of the Turkish Rhinology Society and Vice President of the

Turkish Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Association. Her principal fields

of expertise encompass rhinology, allergy, and endoscopic sinus surgery.

Prof. Dr. Nesil Keleş Türel, MD, is a Professor and Chair of the Department of

Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul

University, with more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience. Her primary

expertise lies in rhinology, particularly chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and

tumors of the paranasal sinuses, and she has served as a national coordinator in

several Phase III clinical trials on monoclonal antibody therapies for CRSwNP.

She has held key leadership roles, including President of the Turkish Rhinologic Society

(2011–2013) and Executive Committee Member and Vice President of the Turkish

Society of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She also served as General

Coordinator of five ENT Schools between 2021 and 2023 and has organized the

Istanbul Masterclass Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Cadaver Dissection Courses since

1997.

Prof. Keleş Türel has authored over 100 scientific articles and book chapters and serves

on the editorial or advisory boards of several national and international journals,

contributing significantly to research, education, and clinical advancement in rhinology.
