Samantha Mairesse

Samantha Mairesse is a clinical neuropsychologist and PhD candidate affiliated with the University of Mons (UMONS) and EpiCURA Hospital Center in Belgium. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence applications at the intersection of otolaryngology and psychiatry, particularly the development and validation of voice-based biomarkers for the early detection of psychiatric and otolaryngological conditions.

Her work investigates how vocal parameters and structured clinical data can support diagnostic processes in both ENT and mental health settings.

Her broader research interests center on the translational integration of artificial intelligence into otolaryngology and psychiatric care, with particular attention to diagnostic reliability, clinical validity, and ethical implementation. She aims to contribute to the development of robust, clinically meaningful AI tools that bridge somatic and psychiatric assessment through objective vocal and clinical markers.
