Dr Murtaza Shah is a UK-trained doctor with an MB ChB from the University of Bristol and completion of the UK Foundation Programme in Yorkshire and Humber. He completed a full-time MRes in Medicine at the University of Leeds (Distinction), focusing on head and neck oncology under the supervision of Professor Anastasios Kanatas and Mr James Moor, and wrote a thesis on the diagnosis, malignant potential, and management of adult cystic lateral neck masses. Alongside his research, he works clinically as an ENT Senior House Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. His first-author research includes a poster at BACO International on HPV testing in lateral cystic neck masses, as well as a published co-authored systematic review and meta-analysis.
