Selis G. GUVEN
Selis Gülseven GUVEN,MD is an otolaryngologist with a broad background in general otolaryngology-head and neck practice. She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and completed her specialization in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Trakya University in 2003. After completing her specialization, she worked in private and public hospitals and has been continuing her academic studies in the Department of Otolaryngology at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine since 2017. In addition to comprohensive clinical care across the full spectrum of ENT disorders, her academic and clinical interests have progressively focused on auditory and vestibular diseases, salivary gland disorders, and head and neck conditions. Her research centers on the role of the oxidative stress in neuroinflammation, ototoxicity and acoustic trauma. She is particularly engaged in translational research exploring salivary-and tissue-based biomarkers to improve understanding of disease mechanisms and advance diagnostic approaches in ENT practice. She also has a growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence and data-driven methods in otolaryngology, particularly in imaging analysis, pathology, and biomarker-based decision support.
