I am a psychology graduate from the University of Manchester with a strong interest in clinical research and the psychological wellbeing of cancer patients. My work focuses on understanding patient-reported psychological outcomes across cancer treatment pathways, using patient interviews to explore lived experiences and support the integration of mental health screening into routine oncological care. Although psychological distress is frequently overlooked in hospitals, I strongly believe that true recovery is incomplete when care focuses only on physical outcomes and neglects the patient’s mental health. My research advocates for psychosocial screening to be a standard component of hospital care, and through my work, I aim to promote more holistic, patient-centred models of care across healthcare systems.
