Nazan Dalgıç, MD, graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident from 2000 to 2002. She subsequently completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. As a recipient of the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) Outstanding Achievement Scholarship, she spent three years as a Clinical Research Fellow at Harvard University and Boston Children's Hospital, where her work focused on infections in immunocompromised hosts, pediatric HIV/AIDS, and congenital infections. She then fulfilled her compulsory subspecialty service at Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital, where she currently serves as Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic. She was appointed Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2020. She has authored 85 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and 64 articles in national journals, and has contributed 27 chapters to national and international textbooks. She serves as principal investigator in multinational clinical trials, and her current academic interests include the application of generative artificial intelligence in pediatric clinical practice.
