Mark Ying-Liang Chou

Mark Ying-Liang Chou, MD, serves as an otolaryngologist and faculty member at National Defense Medical University, Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital, and Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. His clinical expertise includes rhinology, nasal mucosal physiology, and image-guided sinus surgery.

Dr. Chou’s research focuses on applying artificial intelligence (AI) and visual enhancement techniques to improve the diagnostic accuracy of sinus imaging, with the goal of optimizing preoperative evaluation and surgical planning for chronic rhinosinusitis. He has published multiple academic articles covering airway pharmacology and its effects on respiratory physiology, as well as the application of advanced imaging technologies in otolaryngology.

In addition to rhinology, Dr. Chou has strong interests in sleep medicine and head and neck oncology. He is currently engaged in the clinical application and research of submental free flap reconstruction in head and neck cancer surgery.
