Özge Selen AVCI CAN

I am an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist, currently doing my PhD in Audiology and Speech Pathology department at Ankara University. I have seen patients at Ibn-i Sina Hospital Hearing, Balance and Speech Disorders Diagnosis and Rehabilitation Center since 2018. My clinical focus is on swallowing disorders, especially in adult and neurogenic populations.

I have completed several advanced trainings in the field of dysphagia, including Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile (MBSImP™) standardized training and reliability testing, as well as courses in VFSS interpretation and kinesiology taping for dysphagia. I am also trained in fiberoptic endoscopic swallowing evaluation (FEES) and manual therapy approaches for dysphagia.

I am currently working on my PhD project investigating swallowing function and the effect of swallowing therapy in Parkinson's patients undergoing subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation surgery.
