<p>Dr. Hideoki Uryu is a head and neck surgeon at the National Hospital Organization Kyushu Medical Center in Japan. He specializes in head and neck oncology, with particular expertise in transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and photoimmunotherapy (near-infrared light–activated cancer therapy).</p> <p>He has extensive experience in the multidisciplinary management of head and neck cancer, including surgery, systemic therapy, and emerging minimally invasive treatments. His clinical and research interests focus on optimizing treatment strategies and sequencing to improve both survival outcomes and quality of life in patients with recurrent and advanced head and neck cancer.</p> <p>Dr. Uryu is actively involved in academic activities and has contributed to clinical research on robotic surgery and novel therapeutic approaches. He also plays a leading role in promoting collaborative care and advancing surgical training in head and neck oncology.</p>
