Nazlı Akkaya Kurt, PhD, is an audiologist specialising in vestibular assessment and inner ear physiology. She completed her PhD in Audiology at Başkent University, where her doctoral research examined the relationship between vitamin D status and vestibular function.

Her clinical and research work centres on advanced vestibular testing, including cVEMP, oVEMP, video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) and functional Head Impulse Test (fHIT), with particular interest in the functional assessment of the vestibulo-ocular reflex. Her published work covers vestibular involvement in sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and she continues to work on the clinical application of multimodal vestibular test batteries.
