Jorge Burdiles-Aguirre

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and researcher specialized in audiology and public health. My work focuses on hearing screening, diagnostic agreement studies, and the implementation of low-cost technological solutions for hearing assessment.

My research interests include validation of mobile-based audiometric tools against conventional audiometry, evaluation of rehabilitation gaps, and analysis of the functional and quality-of-life impact of hearing loss at the population level. I am particularly interested in generating evidence to support scalable, evidence-based hearing care strategies in diverse and resource-limited settings.

Through clinical and epidemiological research, I aim to contribute to the development of accessible, reliable, and cost-effective models for early detection and management of hearing loss.
