<p>Professor Klapan graduated from the Zagreb University School of Medicine. He completed two postdoctoral studies at the same university (Clinical Immunology & Allergology; Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery) and earned his PhD through a collaborative program involving the Zagreb University School of Medicine (Croatia, EU), the Eye & Ear Institute (Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA), and the Division of Head and Neck Oncology and Immunology, as well as the Immunologic Monitoring and Diagnostic Laboratory at the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.</p> <p>He served as a Full Professor, with cumulative employment in the clinical-scientific field of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the Zagreb University School of Medicine, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb, the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University School of Medicine in Osijek, and the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, Republic of Croatia, EU.</p> <p>He is the founder and director of the Klapan Medical Group University Polyclinic. He has published more than 160 papers in reputable journals, with over 700 citations and an h-index exceeding 25. He is the editor, author, and co-author of 14 medical books (7 in Croatian and 7 in English).
