Hamdy El-Hakim
<p>I graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and my higher surgical training was completed in the United Kingdom, whereas my Fellowship training was at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. I am a Professor at the Department of Surgery and the Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program Director and founder. I am the leader and founder of the Pediatric Aerodigestive and Aspiration Program and co-leader of the Pediatric Tracheal surgery program at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.</p>
<p>I have been the Clinical Research Director for the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta for the past 14 years.</p>
<p>My research interests are mainly sleep disordered breathing (sleep endoscopy in children), swallowing disorders and laryngeal mobility disorders (clinical and basic science)</p>
