<p>Prof. Dr. Philipp P. Caffier is Senior Consultant and Site Director of the Department of Audiology and Phoniatrics at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. He received his medical degree from Humboldt University Berlin, earned his doctoral degree in 2003, and obtained board certification in Otorhinolaryngology (2008) as well as in Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology (2013). He completed his habilitation, qualifying for independent teaching and research at professorial level, in 2011 and was appointed Adjunct Professor in 2021. Since December 2024, he has been a Clinical Fellow supported by the Charité Foundation.</p> <p>His clinical and research focus includes voice diagnostics, laryngology, phonosurgery, laser applications, and performing arts medicine, supported by professional training in singing and dance. He is actively involved in medical education and interdisciplinary teaching, holding teaching appointments in voice physiology at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin and the Berlin University of the Arts. Prof. Caffier has received multiple awards from the German Society of Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology (DGPP), among them the Innovation Award for the development of 3D videolaryngostroboscopy. He serves on national and international professional boards, including the German Association of Singing Teachers (BDG) and the European Academy of Phoniatrics (EAP). He is also a UEMS delegate and National Coordinator of the Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP). He has presented extensively at national and international conferences and authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in international scientific journals (h-index 16).</p>
