Sebastian Cozma

Sebastian Cozma is a professor of ENT at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" and the head of the Audiology Department of the Clinical Rehabilitation Hospital in Iasi, Romania. He is a founding member of the Romanian Society of Audiology and Communication Pathology, which has been designated to organize the main courses and congresses dedicated to audiology and otoneurology in the last 10 years. He was a member of the ENT Commission of the Ministry of Health of Romania, significantly contributing to the introduction of the universal neonatal hearing screening program at the national level. He is also the coordinator of the National Program for the Treatment of Deafness Through Implantable Hearing Aids funded by the Romanian Health Insurance Authority. He is a promoter of the audiological higher education in Romania and has contributed to establishing the bachelor's degree in Audiology and Hearing Aids, which has started its courses in the fall of 2024 within the Faculty of Bioengineering of the ”Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi.

Professor Sebastian Cozma is the president of the International Bureau of Audiophonology, in recent years contributing to the working committees of this organisation in its main areas of clinical and research activity: neonatal hearing screening, cochlear implant in adults and children, vestibular pathology in adults and children.
