Dr. Chien is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is also the principal investigator of the Section on Inner Ear Therapeutics at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).
