Madalina Georgescu

Madalina Gabriela GEORGESCU received the Ph.D. degree in medicine from “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania, in 2005 and the master’s degree in the field of Health-Biophysics and Cellular Biotechnology in 2013. Since 2014 she is Associate Professor at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. Currently she is Habilitated Doctor (2025) and member of the Scholar school of the University since December 2025.

M.G.G. is the national representative in EFAS and President of the Romanian Society of Audiology and Communication Pathology. She is also Clinical Director for Healthy hearing in Special Olympics Romania.

She authored and coauthored more than 200 scientific papers, one monography and chapters in national and international scientific books in various areas of vestibular and hearing research, focused on electrophysiology of the auditory system, cochlear implant, ototoxicity, universal newborn hearing screening, preschool and school-aged hearing screening, congenital CMV infection and vestibular rehabilitation. And she is also Editor-in-Chief for Romanian scientific international-indexed journal ORL.ro.

Assoc. Prof. Madalina Gabriela Georgescu received several prizes for her innovation in the field of vestibular function evaluation – ENTy system (First Place la Microsoft Imagine Cup World Championships 2016, Platinum medal at the International Inventive Show from Warsaw 2016).
