Adrian M Agius
Prof. Adrian Agius carried out his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology in the United Kingdom and is Associate Professor in ENT at the University of Malta.
He has served as President of the Malta Association of Otolaryngologists and Head and Neck Surgeons between 2010 and 2018. Mr Agius has served as General Secretary of the European Union of Medical Specialists in Otorhinolaryngology (UEMS-ORL) and has coordinated the European Training Requirements in ORL, approved by all European Medical Associations in October 2020. Mr. Agius has also served on the Malta Specialist Accreditation Committee.
He has published several scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals and is active in postgraduate training.
His main clinical interests include rhinoplasty and he has directed the Mediterranean Rhinoplasty course.
His research interests include ciliary studies in nose and middle ear, symptoms and criteria for the diagnosis of chronic sinusitis, and also the differentiation of facial pain into rhinogenic and non-rhinogenic origin.

This round table would consist of 4 /5 experts in the field of facial pain who would be able to enlarge on the differential diagnosis of facial pain, its pathophysiology, medical and non-medical management. Outcome objectives: at the end of the round table trainees would be able to (1) differentiate between facial pain of rhinogenic and non-rhinogenic origin (2) would understand the physiology behind chronic facial pain (3) would be able to formulate a management plan for patients presenting in the rhinology clinic
