Zdeněk Čada

Prof. MUDr. Zdeněk Čada, Ph.D., is a leading Czech otorhinolaryngologist and neuro-otologist, currently serving as Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and University Hospital Motol in Prague. He completed his medical degree and Ph.D. at Charles University, with specialization in ENT and pediatric otorhinolaryngology. His academic focus includes vestibular compensation, vestibular schwannoma surgery, and advanced diagnostic methods such as vHIT and fMRI. He has authored over 30 scientific publications and co-authored the monograph Závratě (Vertigo). Prof. Čada has led or participated in multiple research grants and clinical studies, particularly in the fields of vestibular rehabilitation, chemical prehabilitation with gentamicin, and vestibular migraine. He is active in international medical education and has completed fellowships in Cologne, Houston, Hannover, and Piacenza. As Chair of the Otoneurology Section of the Czech ENT Society, he also coordinates humanitarian surgical missions in Senegal and Zambia under the Czech government’s MEDEVAC program. Widely respected for his integration of clinical, academic, and global health work.
