<p>Dr. Rosario Ricalde is a Research Faculty and the current Director of the Philippine Newborn Hearing Screening Reference Center - the technical arm of the Philippines’ Department of Health in Implementing RA 9709 or the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening and Intervention Act of 2009.</p> <p>She is an ENT head and neck surgeon by profession with subspecialization in diseases of the ear, hearing and balance. She is a Clinical Professor at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery of the UP-Philippine General Hospital, a tenured research faculty of the Philippine National Institutes of Health and current secretary of the Philippine Academy of Neurotology Otology and Related Sciences.</p>
