<p>I am Dr. Abirvab Naha, an Otolaryngologist and Assistant Professor of Otology at Bangladesh Medical University (formerly Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University), Dhaka. My professional work integrates clinical practice, academic teaching, and research, with a particular focus on advancing evidence-based care in otolaryngology.</p> <p>I completed my Master of Surgery (MS) in Otolaryngology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University after obtaining my MBBS from Bangladesh Medical College. Over the years, I have developed a strong clinical interest in otology, cochlear implantation, and head and neck surgery. I am actively involved in the cochlear implant program at my institution, where I contribute both to patient management and to the multidisciplinary team approach required for successful auditory rehabilitation.</p> <p>In my academic role, I am engaged in postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and supervision of research trainees. I strive to create an interactive and inclusive learning environment while mentoring young physicians in both clinical skills and scientific inquiry.</p> <p>My research work spans a range of topics including thyroid pathology, chronic rhinosinusitis, middle ear surgery, and noise-induced hearing loss. I have authored and co-authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and have presented my findings at various national and international conferences. These experiences have allowed me to engage with global perspectives in ENT and continuously refine my clinical and research practices.</p> <p>I have undertaken several international training programs and workshops, including advanced hands-on training in cochlear implant surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery in Austria, Poland, Singapore, India, and Australia. These exposures have strengthened my surgical skills and broadened my understanding of contemporary techniques in otolaryngology.</p> <p>I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and hold life memberships in professional bodies such as the Bangladesh Society of Head and Neck Surgeons, the Otolaryngologists and Head-Neck Surgeons of Bangladesh, and the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery.</p> <p>Through my participation in IFOS, I look forward to sharing knowledge, learning from global experts, and contributing to the ongoing advancement of otolaryngology and hearing care worldwide.</p>
