Exploring effectiveness, user satisfaction, and real-world outcome
Serpil Mungan Durankaya, Furkan Büyükkal

Description:

Hearing aids are important devices for people with hearing loss, helping them to hear better and engage in everyday activities. This presentation will focus on the effectiveness, user satisfaction, and real-world outcomes of hearing aids. It will explore how well these devices improve hearing, how satisfied users are with them, and how they impact their daily lives. The goal is to understand both the positive effects and the challenges faced by users, as well as to suggest ways to make hearing aids even better.

Outcome Objectives:

The main objectives of this study are to assess how effective hearing aids are in improving hearing, to measure user satisfaction, and to explore their real-world impact. The presentation will look at how well hearing aids work in different settings (such as quiet and noisy environments), how comfortable and easy they are to use, and how users feel about their overall experience. Additionally, the presentation will discuss how hearing aids influence social interactions, emotional well-being, and professional life.

Background:

Hearing loss is a widespread issue affecting millions of people globally. Hearing aids are one of the most common solutions, with improvements in technology over the years. Despite these advances, many users still face challenges, such as adjusting to the devices, high costs, and dissatisfaction with certain features. Stigma surrounding hearing aids also prevents some people from using them. This presentation will look at the broader impact of hearing aids, focusing on how they affect the daily lives of users and how they can be improved to better meet their needs.
