Tomohiro Hasegawa, MD, PhD, MPH, is an otolaryngologist specializing in laryngology and voice disorders at Gifu University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of voice, swallowing, and laryngeal disorders.

His research interests include unilateral vocal fold paralysis, age-related vocal fold atrophy, regenerative therapies for laryngeal disorders, and the objective assessment of voice outcomes. He has conducted nationwide multicenter studies on the characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment of age-related vocal fold atrophy in Japan and has contributed to the development of diagnostic criteria for this condition. His work also focuses on intracordal regenerative therapy using trafermin for vocal fold paralysis and vocal fold atrophy, as well as the evaluation of treatment outcomes using acoustic, aerodynamic, and patient-reported voice measures.
