My name is Marta Santiago Horcajada, and I am a third-year resident in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. My main clinical interests include endoscopic sinonasal and anterior skull base surgery, otologic and lateral skull base surgery, minimally invasive procedures such as sialendoscopy, and functional and oncologic head and neck surgery. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with a doctoral thesis focused on oral mucosal grafting for nasal septal perforation repair and its effects on the nasal microbiota. I am also actively involved in clinical research and outcomes evaluation, with the aim of translating scientific evidence into safer surgical practice and improved patient-centered care.
