Ahmet Ural
Prof. Ahmet URAL is a distinguished medical professional specializing in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT). Born in Ankara, Turkey, on June 1st, 1975, he has established a prominent career in academic and clinical settings.
Prof. URAL currently serves as a consultant at Etlik City Hospital, Otorhinolaryngology Department in Ankara, a position he has held since 2024. His association with the university also includes a prior role as Acting Dean of the School of Medicine at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to his tenure in Bolu, he was a Professor at Karadeniz Technical University School of Medicine in Trabzon, where he began his professorial journey in 2010. He also served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institution.
His medical journey includes a residency in Ear Nose and Throat Diseases at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara from 1999 to 2004, and he earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (in English) in Ankara in 1999. Prof. URAL’s professional experience also extends to his service as a Lieutenant Doctor at Gulhane Haydarpasa Military Hospital in Istanbul (2006-2007) and as Chief Resident at Ataturk Teaching and Research Hospital in Ankara (2004-2006).
Prof. URAL is a member of several esteemed organizations, including the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Turkish Association of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, and the Eastern Black Sea Region Association of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery.
His commitment to advancing his expertise is reflected in his visits abroad to Klinikum Fulda and St. Elisabeth Hospital in Germany, where he gained valuable experience in Otorhinolaryngology.
Prof. URAL’s areas of interest within Otorhinolaryngology are diverse, encompassing sleep disorders, medical publishing, and pediatric ENT diseases.
