Lien Van Laer

<p>Lien Van Laer obtained her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical Therapy in 2016 from Ghent University (Belgium). After graduating, she worked as a physical therapist in a rehabilitation center from 2016 to 2020. Between 2020 and 2024, she pursued her PhD at the University of Antwerp under the supervision of Professors Vereeck, Hallemans, and Van Rompaey. Her research focused on risk factors contributing to the development of chronic dizziness following vestibular disorders. During her PhD, she published her findings and was actively involved in teaching and organizing courses at both national and international levels. From October 2024 to February 2025, Lien was a Fulbright postdoctoral researcher at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (USA). Since February 2025, she has combined two part-time positions as a doctor assistant at the University of Antwerp and Ghent University, where she continues to focus on vestibular research within both teaching and research activities.</p>
