Manuela Fina

Dr. Manuela Fina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota. She is the Otology Director and Resident Site Director at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dr. Fina completed her Medical Degree at the University of Milan School of Medicine, followed by an Otolaryngology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, and an Otology/Neurotology fellowship with Prof. Michael Paparella in Minneapolis.  Her clinical practice includes all aspects of otology with a clinical focus on surgery for cholesteatoma and chronic otitis media.  Dr. Fina is an Executive Board Member of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery. Her clinical research interest is on outcomes of endoscopic ear surgery and outcomes in cholesteatoma surgery. Dr. Fina has authored numerous articles and book chapters on Surgery for Cholesteatoma and on Endoscopic Ear Surgery techniques. She has participated as a course director, instructor and speaker to may national and international Temporal Bone Dissection Courses, Otology Meetings and Webinars. Since 2017 she has been a lead presenter teaching instruction courses at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
