<p>Mit B. Bhavsar, born in 1987 in India, received his M. Sc. in biomedical engineering from University of applied sciences, Aachen in 2011 and Dr. (rer.nat.) in neurophysiology from University of Göttingen, Germany in 2016. The focus of his PhD thesis was studying sensory to motor information processing in insect brains. His research interest includes electrophysiology, neuromodulation and biomedical application of electrical stimulation. Since 2022, he is employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the ENT department of Hannover medical school, Germany. His current research focus is in-vitro modelling and detection of fibrosis on cochlear implants for long-term monitoring of stimulation efficiency.</p>
