the latest research and innovation in ear and hearing science\, aligned w
ith the mission of the Mirko Tos Ear &amp\; Hearing Research Center. We ex
plore cutting-edge developments\, ranging from molecular biomarkers for ea
rly diagnosis to minimally invasive surgical techniques. Key topics includ
e novel auditory implants\, tinnitus management strategies\, and translati
onal research on inner ear pathophysiology. By bringing together audiologi
sts\, surgeons\, and basic scientists\, we aim to accelerate the developme

DESCRIPTION:<p style="margin-left: 0px!important\;">Novel Approaches genera
 l panel discussion</p><p style="margin-left: 0px!important\;">We propose a
hypothesis-generating observational study that explores the relationship
between obsessive-compulsive (OC) personality traits and the severity of v
ertigo-related anxiety in patients with common peripheral vestibular disor
ders. Despite similar vestibular test results\, some patients report disab
ling dizziness\, while others cope more easily — suggesting that psychol
ogical traits may act as symptom amplifiers. This proposed study will incl
ude patients diagnosed with BPPV\, vestibular neuritis\, or Menière’s d
isease. Each participant will complete validated instruments including the
Vertigo Handicap Inventory (VHI)\, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GA
 D-7) scale\, and the Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised (OCI-R). We wi
ll analyze the correlation between obsessive-compulsive traits and reporte
d anxiety intensity\, adjusting for diagnosis and vestibular dysfunction s
everity. We believe that identifying psychological vulnerability in vestib
ular patients can lead to earlier\, individualized management strategies
 — including integration of cognitive-behavioral therapy in selected case
 s.</p>
