Background: Sialendoscopy has revolutionized management of salivary gland ductal pathologies enabling salivary gland preservation in a growing magnitude of obstructive sialadenitis indications. It involves using miniature endoscopes along with fine instruments for both diagnostic as well as interventional management of both submandibular and parotid salivary gland ductal systems. This procedure, however, requires extensive training with long learning curves required before surgeons can master skills needed for this highly delicate specialized technique.

Outcome Objectives: To present and discuss current options available for sialendoscopy training including models/simulators and direct towards methods of increasing awareness among doctors as well as teaching them the necessary skills required enabling wider worldwide propagation of the technique.

Description: The proposed one-hour international symposium would include international sialendoscopy experts with ideas and expertise that could benefit sialendoscopy training around the world. Each can present his/her training/simulator model in 10-15 minutes presentations (to include 4-6 presenters).
