Emirhan AKYOL
<p>Emirhan Akyol, MD, is an ENT specialist who completed his residency at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, in 2025, after earning his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (2013–2019). He is currently fulfilling his compulsory state service at the Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital in Türkiye. During his residency at Gazi University, Dr. Akyol developed a keen interest in otology and pursued academic work in swallowing physiology and dysphagia. His thesis focused on assessing swallowing in patients undergoing facial reanimation procedures, demonstrating his commitment to objective, patient-centered functional outcomes and interdisciplinary collaboration. Throughout his residency, he actively participated in dysphagia-oriented working groups and collaborative projects. His contributions to otology and swallowing research have been recognized with oral presentation awards at national scientific meetings.</p>
