Codruta Neumann
Ms Codruta Neumann, MSc, FRCS (ORL-HNS), is a Consultant Otolaryngologist with a subspecialist interest in otology at East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2014. She is also a Senior Lecturer in ENT at Kent and Medway Medical School.
Her clinical practice focuses on chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma and hearing-related conditions. She has an established research profile with multiple peer-reviewed publications in international otology journals, including work on Ménière’s disease, tympanomastoid surgery classification, cochlear implantation eligibility and patient-reported outcomes. Her research has been recognised with awards from the Otolaryngological Research Society, including the Xomed-Treace Prize and an ORS Research Support Grant.
Ms Neumann is actively involved in postgraduate education and international surgical training. She was a faculty member for ENT Masterclass and contributes to teaching programmes across Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as advanced otology and temporal bone dissection courses in the UK. She has organised international courses and led training initiatives, including programmes in Romania and Uganda.
She serves as Treasurer of the Politzer Society and holds board roles with the Ménière’s Society and the Royal Society of Medicine (Otology Section). She is also a member of ENT UK, British Society of Otology, the Otolaryngological Research Society, the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
