Dr. Muhammed Ayas is an Assistant Professor and Program Lead of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Sharjah, UAE. He has played a pivotal role in establishing and advancing Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology education and practice in the UAE and the wider region. Holding both a PhD in Audiology and a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from the University of Florida, USA, Dr.Muhammed brings extensive international experience in clinical practice, academia and research across India, UAE, and the UK.

His research focuses on cochlear implants and vestibular sciences and remains dedicated to supporting cochlear implant recipients throughout their lifelong hearing journey. Dr. Muhammed is a licensed Clinical Scientist in Audiology with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC-UK) & holds Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). He is also an active member of the British Academy of Audiology (BAA), the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and International Society of Audiology (ISA).
